Vocation Frustration: Greatsword and Archistaff Locations

Accept the guild request

Speak to the guildkeeper in Vernworth about the unavailable Warrior and Sorcerer vocations. The request directs you toward the missing weapon supply. Keep the quest active while searching so you can compare your inventory against its objectives.

Reach Trevo Mine

Trevo Mine lies west of Vernworth. The route also fits an expedition for Brant's Monster Culling objective, so check your journal before leaving the city. Bring a lantern, healing supplies and enough carrying capacity for both weapons.

Greatsword chest

Explore the mine until you reach the large chamber containing the greatsword chest. Open it and retain the weapon instead of treating it as sale loot. If your pack is heavy, rearrange ordinary supplies before continuing deeper.

Archistaff chest

Continue beyond the greatsword room toward the chamber crossed by bridges. Explore its lower level and the eastern dark passage leading to a dead end. A separate chest contains the archistaff; searching only the upper walkways can leave this objective unfinished.

Return to the Vocation Guild

Carry both weapons back to the guild counter in Vernworth and complete the handover dialogue. Do not stop at a weapon merchant and assume the vocation unlock is finished. Then use the guild's vocation options to select the role you want.

If you already looted the mine

Before repeating the trip, check your storage and party inventories for weapons you moved earlier. Confirm that you have an archistaff, rather than a Mage staff, and a greatsword rather than a Fighter sword. If you sold the quest loot, read the guild's current request before spending money on replacements.
